While working in-house for Intuit’s Creative Services department I was unexpectedly brought into a meeting with numerous Financial Times and Quicken people regarding the logo. They were having problems combining the FT logo, which is square with the Quicken.co.uk logo, which was at the time an oval; the result was a bullet shape (not good). My immediate suggestion was to not use the Quicken.co.uk logo but to use the basic Quicken logo instead, which is also square. The two logos ended up fitting together perfectly and this logo was used for the duration of the partnership.
